This is a storymap dashboard that was created as a prototype for a webmap version of the Oregon by the Numbers 2018 edition report.

Zaatari Refugee Camp

This is a coordinated view map that allows users to visualize and investigate various layers, charts, and media from the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan.

TWCA Water Caclulator

This coordinated view map is intended to roughly calculate how long to irrigate your lawn. The user fills in a form and an output is calculated and printed.

CWS Web Map Prototypes

This is a 4 prototype web-map package that addresses 4 different research questions from CWS and compiles differnt datasets to be visualized simultaneously through interactive charts and maps.

Food Vulnerability Index

This is a custom coordinated view webmap created by the users specifications. Patterns in your dataset can be observed spatially at multiple zoom levels.

DEI Language Web Tool

This is a custom coordinated webmap tool that allows OSU extension agents find what languages are spoken within their county. This currently and ongoing project.

About

Hello, my name is Benji Antolin! I started creating maps at Eastern Washington University (EWU) where I discovered that my hobby and admiration of maps and cartogrpahy could be translated into a career. After completing a Bachelor degree in Economics with Math and a certificate in GIS from EWU, I was hired by Oregon State Univerisity (OSU) Extension as a Faculty Research Assistant specializing in GIS and Data analytics and processing.

As a Faculty member of OSU I have had opportunity to utilize graduate level courses to advance my professional skill set. I have always been interested in dynamic and interactive maps and have had the opportunity to study and work along side Geovisualization Professor, Bo Zhao, in Wep Mapping and Geovisual Analytics. Through my experience, I have been trained to use HTML, CSS, Javascript and Javascripts libraries to build interactive geovisual web applications using open source tools.

As a professional, I strive to create customized web applications to fit stakeholders needs. If you have a dataset or multiple datasets that you would like visualized on a geovisual web platform, I can provide ongoing consultations, maintenance, and updates.
